This beautiful Scania S500 Highline is owned by the company Lauratrans. They had the special paintwork done by Laurent Decor, while the interior was taken care of by Philippe Vergau. With this beautiful lorry, Lauratrans makes reference to the film and series Starsky and Hutch, based on the red Ford Torino with white vector stripe featured in the film. Partly for this reason, this beautiful lorry has won several prizes. The combination of red and white is also reflected in the sleek leather interior. The result is perfection. Here's a fun fact: Lauratrans also had speakers installed on the hose rack, so it can play music to entertain visitors at truck shows.
Lauratrans was founded by Philippe Beyney in 2000. He started out with a Scania 142 in combination with a tank semi-trailer. Since then, his fleet has grown steadily to what it is today: 12 lorries. The tractor units pull refrigerated trailers and curtainsider semi-trailers.
Before Philippe founded Lauratrans, he was a driver for Beyney and Veynat between 1985 and 2000, where he drove a tank semi-trailer. Philippe has now received the models, and has let us know that he is very pleased with the way the scale model looks.
